Cleaning oven racks: make your oven food safe again

The oven is probably one of the toughest tools in the kitchen. While the oven is relatively easy to clean (check out this complete guide for an effective, completely Naturally, the oven cleaning method used>), cleaning the large oven racks can lead to a pause. You are too big for the sink, what does a kitchen owner do? This tutorial shows you how to easily clean the oven racks.

Start by taking the oven racks out of the oven and carrying them to the bathroom. Right. The bathroom.

Cleaning oven racks

Place two long folded towels in your bathtub so that a few inches of the towel run along the bathtub wall.

Pour hot water over over towels

Close the drain and let the hottest water run into the bathtub enough to cover the racks.

Swish around the hot water over the racks

The most important part of this step isn’t that the oven racks are flat; It is so that their sides don’t actually touch the bathtub walls. Keep the towels between your oven rack and the bathtub. You don’t want to have metal scratches in your tub afterwards.

Fill the bathtub until the oven racks are completely submerged. Impressive. My oven racks clean themselves with the very hot water. Gross.

Measure out about 1/3 to 1/2 cup of dish soap. This tutorial used 1/2 cup (or 1-1 / 2 scoops of a 1/3 measuring cup).

Pour the detergent into your hot, water-filled bathtub. Note: The detergent you use can either be powder or liquid. It doesn’t really matter because either way it will dissolve.

f you can withstand the high temperatures, wave the detergent around with your fingers.

Walk for about 2 hours. Personally, I couldn’t believe how dirty the water was at that point.

Pull the plug in the bathtub and rinse with warm water. Thats it! No oven cleaner was used in this post LOL.
